A night by the fire. A campsite by the edge of the forest. Take a seat on the log of yesterday’s proud oak and let yourself be enveloped by tales told in words and colors.

Mist & Ember is an evocation of the beauty in the details of our surroundings – be they simple or obscure. The project was brought to life by professional artist Malo and writer Pax with the intention of sharing their sense of wonder for the world. Both writings and illustrations are guided by an aesthetic of curiosity and the quaint, but also melancholy and the mysterious. The created tales entreat the audience to pause and take notice of even the most minute and mundane features of their environment and thus encourage appreciation and reflection.

Only embers remain and mist covers the fields. Yet, the embers are still warm, the mist may be traversed and the tales offer respite.
